CRTL-ALT-DELETE
Learn more about the evolving state of artificial intelligence and its universal impacts on the reasoning of ethics and ownership in recent years.Unfortunately, Crtl-Alt-Delete's game issues were unable to be resolved past the due date so it will remain without this for some time. I intend to post it sometime in the future regardless.
Why does it matter?
Generative AI models like MidJourney and Stable Diffusion have revolutionized content creation, especially in the realm of images and art. However, these models are often trained on large datasets containing copyrighted, private, or sensitive images scraped from the internet, including works by artists who haven't given their consent. Worse yet, these models can be optimized to mimic individual artists' styles through processes like style mimicry. This means that even popular independent artists may find low-quality replicas of their work online, sometimes with their names still attached to the generated images.

Meet advocate and professional artist Hollie
Hollie is one of many artists that have been subject to artificial intelligence's style mimicry, in which her online portfolio was utilized train an AI text-to-art model that was then made for free public and commerical use without consent or credit. Learn more about her story below.

How can you protect your visual works?
Find the means to protect, and otherwise void artificial intelligence’s collection, style-mimicry, and usage of your media with GLAZE.“Our systems are near or equal to 100% successful, for the software operates with internal relation to global image databases like LAION-5B; it cloaks the art provided by URL with a new dimension only detectable to artificial cognition’s software,” says lead Shawn Shan. “Even if the image itself is modified after processing GLAZE through it, reversing the engineering of it is presently impossible for artificial cognition systems, meaning the creator’s work is safe from being trained”.
